Peer farm tours are great, but finding the time for them is another story. Well, we’ve got you covered. See how Sugar Creek Farms from New London, WI has implemented new technologies to enhance their operation. Owner Mike Bruette and Jeff Hanschke open up their operation and share their farm's success story.

What started out as an FFA friendship developed into a dairying partnership for Mike & Jeff. They started Sugar Creek Farms in 1997 and have since expanded twice, once in 2001 and another time in 2008. They currently milk 1,200 cows with a rolling herd average of 29,500 lbs. of milk.

Sugar Creek Farms believes in implementing the latest technologies, including RFID tags tied to herd management software to track herd health, vaccination programs and reproductive status. They genomic test all of their heifers with the use of CLARIFIDE®. Mike and Jeff also work close with their veterinarian, Dr. Paul Meagher to develop protocols to help ensure the health and safety of their animals and employees. The video, developed for the World Dairy Expo virtual farm tour seminars, is ready for your viewing. Sit back, relax and learn what keeps Sugar Creek Farms humming, as well as how Zoetis has helped them successfully follow Dairy Wellness on their operation.
